Christmas Eve 2009

On Christmas Eve, Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Terry came over for lunch. Grandma Pride came over as well. We ate a wonderful lunch together, opened a few presents, and just enjoyed each other's company. Before they left, Grandma Lynn helped the girls decorate a gingerbread house. Grandma and I iced the roof, but then we turned over control to the girls. They decorated (and Mya was sneaking candy)....Enjoy the pictures.
This was Mya's present......Magnetic Mosaic pictures. We all enjoyed these.

Larryn stopped by for a while and brought the girls zhu zhu pets. How awesome is she?!

Very impromptu pictures in front of the tree.

Ally's present was a trace and draw projector. Lots of fun there too. Both girls truly enjoyed both presents.

Grandma Pride. So glad to have her at our house on Christmas Eve.

Enjoying our delicious meal at the table.

Grandpa Terry having some fun with the toys!!!!!!!

and the girls.

Grandma Lynn helping out with the gingerbread house. Mya eating as much icing as possible!!!

Again, Mya sneaking a taste.

THE zhu zhu pets. We put a small black mark on Mya's pet's ear to tell them apart.

Relaxing watching a Christmas special. I think it was Elf (my most favorite!!)

This picture was taken on Christmas morning. Santa brought some pretend nails and the girls loved them.........but only for about an hour. Oh well. They looked cute.
Mya was fighting a cold and had an irritating cough all week. We had planned to all attend Christmas eve mass at St. Peter's, but with Mya's cough, we decided it would be a good idea for her to stay home. Ally and I attended mass while Daddy and Mya stayed home.
I can't express enough how wonderful it was to have family and friends around this Christmas.
