Last Sunday, after church, we went to Spring Mill with the Batemans. We haven't ever taken the girls before. We went hiking, and walked/played in the streams, and explored the village. We had THE best time.
I think it was a special weekend because the village had many people working in the shops and playing music and widdling wood outside. Very cool how someone can take a piece of wood and turn it into a spoon with such a small instrument.

We were amazed at how much Ally was loving the stream.

Mason, Ally and Doreena walking in the stream. Brent, Mya and I all stayed along the path. Mya was a little leary of the wobbly rocks.

.

Here we are walking down the steps to the cave (which are all closed, by the way). I asked Doreena to take a picture of us before the girls were tired and while they were still willing to have their picture taken. They really did so well that day. Yay!

Both girls decided to wade in this little stream. Ally was already wet, but Mya decided to 'dip' herself in........(the expressions on her face were priceless).
...and then she had to show us her "bootom" as she calls it.
Ally fell a little and got herself soaked as well.

Bible School is something the girls look forward to all summer. As soon as school let out and we told them it was summer, they said, "Yay, we get to go to Bible School!!" It took quite a bit of explaining (especially to Mya) until they understood that it was LATER in the summer. The last week of July, Bible School was finally in session. I just love it! The girls have such a great time, we learn some new and amazing songs about the Lord, and they get to sing them at church. These pictures are of the girls getting ready for church that day, gearing up for singing. They did an excellent job in front of the entire church. Awesome!!

Great post!! Don't tell your girls, but when we were there earlier this spring, people were pointing out snakes in the stream! Jayden got in it for a few minutes before we left though - he hadn't heard the conversation and mommy was keeping her eye on the snake to make sure it wasn't going near him!! Freaked me out!! I love that place! When we walked through the village & houses, they wanted to know when the "old" people were coming back to live there!
